Хиротонию возглавил Святейший Патриарх Сирийской Ортодоксальной Церкви Мар Игнатий Ефрем II. В богослужении приняли участие многочисленные архиереи, клирики и миряне Сирийской Ортодоксальной Церкви. За богослужением молились патриархи и представители других ближневосточных Церквей.

От Русской Православной Церкви на богослужении присутствовал игумен Арсений (Соколов), представитель Патриарха Московского и всея Руси при Патриархе Антиохийском и всего Востока.

По окончании богослужения отец Арсений поздравил новопоставленного епископа Жака и вручил ему поздравительное Послание епископа Череповецкого и Белозерского Флавиана, сопредседателя Комиссии по диалогу между Русской Православной Церковью и Сирийской Ортодоксальной Церковью (Священный синод от 29 июля 2017 года, журнал №59).

Your Grace, dear Sayedna Jack,

Greeting you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I’m sending my sincere congratulations on your election as Patriarchal Vicar for Youth and Religious Education, and on your Episcopal ordination!

The decision of His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II to elect you as a Bishop and to appoint to this high honorary post is an undoubted recognition of the important activities of the Patriarchal Youth Department, as well as your personal merits in the position of the Head of this one of the most dynamically developing structures in the Syriac Orthodox Church.

I would like to note with deep satisfaction, that relations between our two Churches are developing intensively today. We have very similar positions on current issues of the day and called together to testify of the enduring Gospel values in the face of a secular and often hostile world. One of the remarkable examples of this joint testimony is the work of our Commission for Bilateral dialogue, which is a very responsible obedience entrusted to us from above. Warmly recalling our recent meeting on the biblical land of Lebanon, I sincerely hope for the successful continuation of this fruitful collaboration in the spirit of Christian Love.

I wish you good health, longevity and the abundant help of God in the beginning of your episcopal ministry for numerous and blessed years!
